This is how I party

Yes, this is how we spend a Sunday lately. Fill up the $9 pool and let Baby have a splash. On Sunday she was less interested in being IN the pool and more interested in working the boombox.

Willa's First Art Show

At Busy Bees Learning Center the teachers help the students complete various art projects for special occasions and sometimes just for fun. Willa had lots of fun preparing Mother's and Father's Day gifts for mommy and daddy. Recently, she created a pieced titled "Willa's Ranch." We'll be sure to post more as they are completed and released for publication!

Willa's words

Early on she started saying dadadada (april may timeframe)

Then she said mama on June 13th

Recently the vocabulary grew to include "uhoh" and this weekend she added "boo(k)" which she says when picking up a book. She is still working on the k.

Tonight she added "quack quack" which is the title of one of her favorite books and also happens to be the sound title character Duck makes.

In other news, crinkle nose is back but she is more selective in its usage...

Interesting Sunday

Hello all. I'm home alone again. Yes, Christie is travelling for her new job, but the promise is that this is the only time it will happen. I'll be thankful for her return since Willa's growing older has also meant she is a lot more work to take care of and entertain! All in all we had a nice day with a few moody episodes in the afternoon. But as always, she was a very good girl.

Today was a tough day for Baby. I am pretty sure she realized it Momomomom was not around and she was a little sad as a result. Here she is resting her head. This is a new thing she does (last 3-4 weeks).

Her sense of balance improves each week. I know that standing without support can't be too far in her future...

This afternoon we had the stranges stationary rainstorm pour on us for about two hours. The oddest thing was the direct sunlight in the midst of a downpour. The angles were just perfect I suppose with the western boundary having been somewhere around West Philadelphia. The sun peaked in just below and created this confusing effect.

Again, that strange sunlight. Don't get me wrong - I'm not complaining. Plus, I didn't have to water the gardens tonight!
